Some Interesting Reading from 666
Happy 666 Day- I mean the 6th of June 2006. Just a recap of where I've been before lunch--

1. WorkForce Week Poll-
go here and log your vote in.
What is Your Company's Current Outlook on Hiring?
Result: (166 participants surveyed so far.)

1. Is your company hiring, firing or freezing?
Our business looks good and we have plans to hire. 69%
Business has gone south and we are planning to reduce our workforce. 6%
We're not certain of the future, with gas prices and other costs on the rise, we aren't hiring or firing right now. 25%

2. More Workforce Week--
A checklist of ideas to endorse organizational change
Here is a checklist to examine as you progress down the road of
organizational change:

Ensure the endorsement or involvement of high-profile executives.
Identify early adopters of the new behaviors and have them champion
change throughout your organization.
Establish a communication strategy.
Communicate the reasons for change.
Educate employees on how to accept change
Encourage responsibility without risk of failure/loss of job.

3. Today's New York Times
"Online Newspaper Ads Gaining Ground on Print"

According to estimates released on Friday by the NAB
(Newspaper Association of America) - online advertising is up 35%
for the first 3 months of 2006 over last year. Newspapers only up .3%
*though it's still alive and well at $10.5 billion/year)

Now, I'm not telling you to go post more jobs on Monster.com.
But lets develop a web strategy to utilize 35% on your advertising budget
and gain traction with your audience. C'mon. Let's shake it up!!

Anyway-- that's all for now-- It's lunch time!
